Downloads

Here’s my collection of little WoW-related doodads you might want to download for your own use. Currently that involves some userbars that I’ve designed as well as a World of Warcraft Realm Status Google gadget that my better half, Lucas, made. You’ll find the userbars and Google gadget below.

Userbars are those thin little forum signatures that come in a variety of flavors for just about anything you could possibly be interested in and are sometimes even animated. The official Userbars website has only one or two World of Warcraft related Userbar styles to choose from, and so I set out to create my own. If you see a userbar below that you’re interested in, just right click and “save as” to save it to your own hard drive or copy the link location to its imageshack hosted source.

How do I use these in my forum signatures?

I’m glad you asked :) Most forums tend to use BB code. Below is a sample of using BB forum code to insert images that you can use to post in your signature profile.

Right now I only have userbars and Lucas’ Google gadget available for download, but as I create other items that might be of interest, I’ll add them here. If you’re in dire need of a specific WoW related userbar design, send me an email or post a request in the Userbars.com Request Area forum. The Google gadget is below the userbar designs.

WoW Realm Status Google Gadget
What are Google gadgets? Well, if you have your own personalized Google homepage, you’re already familiar with them. They’re basically little snippets you can insert onto your personalized Google start page that can do a wide variety of different things such as monitoring stocks and news sources, listing movie showtimes in your area, keeping tabs on local weather conditions, or even allowing you to play little built-in games directly on your page.

Lucas, who I more commonly refer to as my genius better half, coded a Google gadget that monitors the status of World of Warcraft realms. The gadget is fully customizable and allows you to select which realm(s) you would like to monitor the status of, and it even lists the 5 most recent Blue posts from the Realm Status Forum as clickable links to keep you updated on current or upcoming maintenance issues that you might want to know about.
